Flor Aguilera García is a film critic and fiction writer, but primarily one of the most original and audacious new poetic talents in Mexico, writing and performing in both Spanish and English.

Her poetry books include Last Flight to Shanghai (Praxis, 2002), The Sacrifice of the Lilies (Praxis, 2003), 55 Frames Per Second (Praxis, 2005) and BUTOH (Tintanueva, 2008). She has also written several novels: Diary of an Oyster (Alfaguara, 2005), The Past is a Strange Country, and My Life as a Blonde (Alfaguara, 2008).
